THE EARLY DAYS HIT THE 4 OUT OF 5 MARK IN THE DN SE KULTUR NEWSPAPER (20/01/2012)

The Early Days hit a great 4 out of 5 for their debut album mixed here at Ox-4-Sound, in Swedens biggest morning paper.
For those that understand Swedish hit the link below for the full review. For those like myself that don't here's a translation of part of the review.

"The problem with the male Swedish pop music is that it is so unmanly. It's not their fault that unmanliness has become a national character - but the singers sound so weak and juvenile that you become crazy. Therefore, The Early Days debut is a relief.

"Here is a great singer with an adult, confident voice that reminds considerably of the British Doves. The music will also be sorted in with the psychedelic, grinding, yet rich tone guitar and keyboard-based rock that the Doves and other Manchester bands have been engaged in since The Stone Roses broke through. Which is also the only complaint, The EarlyDays sound at times a little too similar to the models.
Otherwise everything is sitting on a great self-confident way - well written, well played and well produced. But still fuzzy. In addition, top quality live, I can tell.

"Vapour Trail" looks set to be a feature song in the film adaptation of the book of the same name written by Stephen Chbosky. The film is set for release soon and was directed by Stephen Chbosky and produced by John Malkovich, Lianne Halfon and Russell Smith. The cast amongst others includes and stars Emma Watson, (note another Oxford connection ! ) Nina Dobrev and Paul Rudd. The book was a great read so I look forward to seeing the film.
